The Professional Services team plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth of our products and services which now support clients spanning Australia, New Zealand, UK and Ireland

The Role

The objective of this role is to understand our client requirements and create practical solutions for their business. You would provide a broad range of services primarily focusing on front end customisations and provide technical support to our clients.

This role will adhere to company project management methodologies to facilitate their successful implementation with a significant focus on creation of customer satisfaction and revenue through the development, implementation and management of measurable, scalable, and sustainable services.

The role requires contributing thought leadership in an area of expertise to help develop the business and define future ways of working to better meet our clients needs. The Technical Services Consultant provides inventive solutions to issues faced by senior management, develops action plans for change and ensures the implementation of initiatives.

The role will involve:

  • Providing input to service or project scoping and deliver assigned services.
  • Contribute to the scoping of customisation requirements for both new and existing clients.
  • Responsible for producing work order quotes and ensuring services are delivered to budget.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of PracticeEvolve’s global and regional schema sets.
  • Contribute to building effective teams to meet market demand and facilitate effective training programs to drive business growth and employee engagement.
  • Provide support to the data migration specialists during the migration process and assist with the deployment of Practice Evolve and third-party integrations during the project stage.
  • Delivery of front-end system customisations and export reports while liaising with the development team on more complex technical customisations.
  • Contribute to developing plans that ensure consistent service improvement standards are implemented.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of PracticeEvolve’s global and regional schema sets.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes, policies, business operations and quality control; and assist with establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools
  • and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organisation.
  • Facilitate global communications to ensure the transfer of information and skill sets support company growth.
  • While working as a member of the bid/tender team, you will contribute to tender responses and deliver bid presentations.
  • Provide clear weekly reporting to management on allocated workload.

Technical skills:

  • Intermediate object-oriented programming skills – preference C#.
  • Intermediate – SQL, preference MS SQL.
  • Experience with XML, .NET., JSON.
  • Familiarity with Windows CMD, Powershell, and Visual Studio.
  • Experience with report writing software SSRS, Crystal Reports, Dev Express.

Experience:

  • Experience in a technical consulting role.
  • Experience in developing the skills of staff engaged in provision of professional consulting.
  • Strong Customer focus is required.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • In-depth experience of business analysis and Technical Services consulting.
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Desired:

  • Experience in People management and team building experience.
  • Experience and a strong track record of achievement in a service organization or software vendor setting.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (Jira, Redmine) and version control.
  • University degree in the field of Business Information Systems; Or Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a technical services role.
  • Formal Project Methodology qualifications
  • Minimum Five (5) years relevant work experience –in the Legal software market and /or Legal Office environment
  • A demonstrated track record of people management in an environment of organisational change.
