Top 5 Things You May Not Know About EvolvePlus

At PracticeEvolve, we know that true efficiency comes from fully understanding the tools at your fingertips. While many users are familiar with the core functions of EvolvePlus, there are some powerful features that often fly under the radar, yet can make a big difference to your daily operations. Here are five standout tools you may not be using to their full potential, but definitely should be.

Workflows

PracticeEvolve’s workflow feature helps ensure no steps are missed in your business process. Client On-boarding can be simplified with a workflow, from all new documentation and client contacts to department head approval, activities can be tasked to the relevant individual or team to ensure a smooth and consistent process for all matters and departments.

Tagging

Automate your document creation with Document Tagging, populate data from your matter details directly to your precedent templates with a simple drag and drop. Tagging also allows you to ensure consistent naming of your created documents across department or matter types as it allows the automatic re-naming of your documents on creation, for example, select and create a document named ‘Letter to Client’ from your library and it can be saved as ‘Letter to Joe Bloggs dated 25 December 2025’ directly to the client or matter without adding steps for your users.

Prospects

Prospects allows you to track potential business and income. Using the feature you can report on next contact dates, where your referrals are coming from and reasons why business may have been won or lost, allowing you to view and close any gaps. The built in Dashboard gives real time data on the current position of all prospects across the system.

Forms Designer

Want to customise the fields on your matters, add a folder to every new matter of a certain type, hide fields until a certain value is entered? Forms Designer is the answer to these queries, this tool allows you to design and manage your forms to improve data capture on a departmental basis. View only relevant fields to the current stage of your matter using visibility statements whilst saving time on having to manually create folders on a client or matter with the default folder function.

Advanced Search

Our advanced search feature enables you to search through any document contents, including indexed scanned images and PDFs, saved on matters, clients or libraries in PracticeEvolve. With access to various filtering options, extensive search criteria and easy search navigation, you can build your search to match your needs and enhance your way of working.

These five features are just a glimpse into how EvolvePlus can drive smarter, more streamlined workflows across your firm. Whether it’s capturing more business with Prospects, simplifying onboarding with Workflows, or finding exactly what you need in seconds with Advanced Search – unlocking the full potential of EvolvePlus means working faster, more accurately, and with greater confidence. If you’d like a deeper dive into any of these tools, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
