Continuing our commitment to improving the user experience and general usability of EvolveGo, later this month we will begin to introduce our new and improved filter controls, affecting grids and reports throughout the system. Our new design offers a fresh and clean look to filter controls, making them less intrusive than previously but still preserving the essential functionality required.  

 The new controls allow users to review and select required filters from a central alphabetised listing, making it easier to find the necessary filter, but also removing the need to revisit the filter list after each selection. 

Selected filters will still appear at the top of the grid or report, but we now limit the on-screen appearance to 4. If 5 or more filters are selected, a count is displayed instead to not overwhelm and distract attention from the grid or report on display 

When reviewing the available filters, those selected are promoted to the top of the listing for immediate visibility.  

 To further enhance filter functionality, we'll also be introducing multi-select capability on various filters, such as Matter Types, allowing the user to select multiple if so required.  

 In addition to the changes above, we've also refined the available filters in various screens to remove those which were unnecessary and rename any that may have been ambiguous, promoting a clear and concise user experience across the system. 

Please note that when the new filter controls are deployed later this month, you may experience minor disruption to some saved custom views and reports that utilise existing filters. Those filters can quickly be set and saved again to preserve your custom views and reports. 

From 1st May, Two-factor authentication (2FA) will be mandatory to access the productivity side of EvolveGo. With 2FA in place, even if your password is compromised, your data stays protected by requiring a second verification step, such as a code sent to your phone. This means that just knowing your password isn't enough for anyone trying to access your account. 

What you need to do: 

Activating 2FA is quick and easy, and it will significantly enhance the security of your account. Lookout for the banners in-app, or follow the step-by-step guide here Set-up-Two-Factor-Authentication-2FA 

If 2FA is not activated before 1st May, you won't be able to access your EvolveGo account until 2FA is set up. This could result in significant downtime and disruption to your work. We highly recommend avoiding this inconvenience by activating 2FA now, but don't worry we're here to support you every step of the way.
